This peaceful, open concept custom home blends so well into it’s vineyard and forest surroundings, that you really have to look to find it. With a vast garden in the front, Rick built a custom gardening shed that is more like a cozy mountain cabin complete with custom shelving and sliding barn doors.
Just outside of Calistoga, it nearly escaped the devastating fires of Napa and Sonoma Valleys and almost everything was burned around it. Because of the special imported wood used on the exterior, it kept the house from enveloping in flames. Not before showing us the resin marks though, which had melted during the blaze and will forever be a reminder of how lucky they are to have a solid built home in their perfect little paradise.
